For the third year in a row, Swedish thought leaders, innovators and organisations were widely represented in Sweden’s country pavilion at Arab Health. Speaking at the inauguration of The Innovation Pavilion by Sweden, VIPs and guests of honor from the Swedish Ministry of Health and regional ambassadors reiterated Sweden’s global role in the development of Life Science and its overall contribution to skills and product development in the MENA region’s dynamic and progressive healthcare infrastructure.
Guests of honor
Among the guests of honor was Mr Niclas Jacobson, Deputy Director-General & Head of the Division for European Union & International Affairs, Swedish Ministry of Health & Social Affairs who touched on the importance of development and trade, and how the strong ties between the public and private sector have contributed to Sweden having one of the most respected Life Science and healthcare systems in the world.
H.E Mr Henrik Landerholm, Swedish Ambassador to the UAE, commented on Sweden’s ranking as the third most innovative nation in the world according to the 2018 Global Innovation Index (GII), reinforcing the greater vision of the pavilion which is to showcase Sweden’s vast expertise in Life Science and how this export-ready sector can practically adapt and collaborate in GCC countries.
